Lieutenant Colonel Emory J Pike

Lieutenant Colonel Emory Jenison Pike was born on December 18, 1876. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1901. Of note, Pike was the only West Point graduate to be awarded the Medal of Honor during World War I. He received the nations highest honor as a result of his actions at Vandieres, France on September 15, 1918 making him the first member of the 82nd Airborne Division to receive the honor. READ MORE
